On 8 December 2005, CropLife International and EuropaBio celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first commercial biotech crop.   Experts in the field of biotechnology from Brazil, the US and the UK shared their different experiences with biotech cultivation and regulation. The event attracted around 100 policymakers, diplomats, academics, NGOs, media and scientists


CropLife International Annual Conference 2005

CropLife International Rice and Brussels Sprouts

CropLife International held its Rice and Brussels Sprouts event on 8 December, the only celebration of the UN’s International Year of Rice in Brussels. Representatives from European and international institutions, the diplomatic community, NGOs, industry and the media came together to consider the world’s most important crop, its role in providing food security and eradicating poverty, and its importance to global trade and development


CropLife International Annual Conference 2004

CropLife International held its fourth annual conference this 3 June in Brussels.  This year’s conference was based around the theme of plant science and its role and impact on the world food agenda.  Bringing  together world recognised speakers representing the full range of views, the conference helped participants gain an insight into the different concerns of consumers, politicians, business and industry.

CropLife International Annual Conference in association with EuropaBio

5 June 2003, Brussels, Belgium

CropLife International held its third annual conference in Brussels on 5 June. This year, CropLife International joined forces with EuropaBio, the European Association for Bio Industries, to focus the conference on the use of agricultural technologies throughout the world.  Participants from around the world, including representatives from industry, civil society and policy makers, debated with the speakers and panelists on technical and societal issues relating to biotechnology.


CropLife International Annual Conference 2002

CropLife International held its second Annual Conference in Brussels on 6 June 2002. Participants joined from not only the global plant science industry but also NGOs, international governmental organisations and media who have a stake in sustainable agriculture and development.
